Responsibilities
- Execute diverse construction tasks including site preparation, concrete pouring, framing, and finishing work
- Operate and maintain heavy machinery (excavators, forklifts, power tools) following OSHA safety protocols
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project specifications accurately
- Assist skilled tradesmen (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) with material handling and installation
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
- Maintain clean, organized job sites and adhere to strict safety standards
- Collaborate with supervisors to meet project deadlines and quality benchmarks
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on construction or labor experience
- Valid OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in varying weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of power tools and construction equipment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Jacksonville metro area
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to follow verbal/written instructions
- Pre-employment drug screening and background check required
