Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications with precision
- Perform diagnostic troubleshooting on complex electrical circuits and equipment
- Ensure full compliance with OSHA, NEC, and local electrical codes
- Conduct thorough system testing and safety inspections
- Lead emergency response for critical electrical failures during off-hours
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed and materials used
Qualifications
- 5+ years of commercial/industrial electrical experience
- Valid Texas Electrician License (Journeyman or Master)
- Proven expertise with 3-phase systems, VFDs, and PLCs
- OSHA 30-hour certification required
- Exceptional troubleshooting skills for high-voltage systems
- Strong familiarity with NEC 2020 updates and Houston municipal codes
- Ability to work independently in high-pressure night-shift environments
