Responsibilities
- Perform physical labor including excavation, demolition, and material handling at construction sites
- Operate hand/power tools safely and efficiently under supervisor guidance
- Assist skilled tradespeople with material preparation and site preparation tasks
- Maintain clean and organized work areas to meet OSHA safety standards
- Load/un construction materials and equipment with proper lifting techniques
- Follow blueprints and verbal instructions to ensure project specifications are met
- Participate in daily safety briefings and emergency response drills
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months construction labor experience or willingness to train
- Valid state-issued driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in outdoor weather conditions
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred (training provided if needed)
- Basic math skills for material measurement and inventory
- Strong work ethic and punctuality with zero-tolerance policy for tardiness
- Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as project demands require
