Responsibilities
- Assist carpenters and masons with material handling and site preparation
- Operate power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) under supervision
- Load/un construction materials safely using proper techniques
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and comply with OSHA standards
- Participate in scaffold setup and basic concrete finishing
- Follow blueprints and foreman instructions precisely
- Perform heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) and work in all weather conditions
Qualifications
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical fitness assessment
- Valid government-issued photo ID and work authorization
- Willingness to submit to drug screening and background check
- Reliable transportation to job sites across NYC boroughs
- Basic math skills for material measurements
- Commitment to 40+ hour workweeks with overtime potential
- No prior experience required – training provided
