Responsibilities
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and directing traffic
- Load/unload materials and equipment safely using proper lifting techniques
- Assist skilled trades (carpenters, masons, electricians) with material handling and basic tasks
- Operate hand/power tools (hammers, saws, drills) following safety protocols
- Read and interpret blueprints, safety guidelines, and project specifications
- Maintain clean and organized work areas to prevent accidents
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety standards and company policies
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of construction labor experience preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in extreme weather
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Strong teamwork and communication abilities
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed
