Responsibilities
- Perform physical tasks including digging, loading, and unloading construction materials
- Operate hand tools (hammers, shovels, saws) and power equipment (saws, jackhammers)
- Assist skilled tradespeople with site preparation and cleanup
- Follow strict safety protocols and OSHA guidelines
- Read and interpret basic construction plans and instructions
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Transport materials via wheelbarrows, carts, or forklifts (with certification)
- Report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction labor experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly
- Valid California driver's license
- OSHA 10-hour certification a plus
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
- Reliable transportation to job sites
- Pass pre-employment drug screening
- Strong attention to detail and safety-conscious mindset
