Responsibilities
- Execute site preparation tasks including excavation, grading, and debris removal
- Assist in building foundations, framing, and concrete pouring operations
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, forklifts) and hand tools with precision
- Follow blueprints and safety protocols for all construction phases
- Maintain clean and organized job sites while adhering to OSHA standards
- Collaborate with skilled tradespeople to ensure project timelines are met
- Report progress issues and material requirements to site supervisors
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of commercial construction experience
- Valid OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain immediately
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred
- Strong understanding of construction safety regulations
- Reliable transportation to job sites across DC metro area
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and overtime as needed
- Pass background check and drug screening
