Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to determine the layout for wiring systems.
- Ensure all electrical work is performed in strict accordance with local and national electrical codes (NEC) and safety regulations.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems to identify the root cause and implement effective solutions.
- Perform routine maintenance checks to ensure the safety and longevity of electrical systems.
- Collaborate with project managers and other construction professionals to meet project deadlines.
Qualifications
- Valid North Carolina Journeyman or Apprentice Electrician License required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in residential and commercial electrical work.
- Strong knowledge of electrical theory, circuitry, and power distribution.
- Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and work in various positions, including bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
