Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and residential buildings
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and National Electrical Code (NEC) standards
- Diagnose electrical issues using testing equipment and troubleshooting techniques
- Supervise and train apprentice electricians as needed
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and clients to ensure project timelines
- Document work orders and maintain safety records
Qualifications
- Valid Illinois Journeyman Electrician license required
- Minimum 5 years of commercial/residential electrical experience
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of NEC and local electrical codes
- Experience with conduit bending, wiring, and circuit installations
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Must pass background check and drug screening
