Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and residential buildings
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications
- Ensure strict compliance with NEC and DC electrical codes
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical issues
- Supervise junior electricians and apprentices
- Coordinate with contractors and building management
- Perform safety inspections and risk assessments
- Manage material inventory and equipment maintenance
Qualifications
- Valid District of Journeyman Electrician license (required)
- Minimum 5 years of commercial/residential experience
- OSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings and schematics
- Strong knowledge of NEC, DCRA, and local regulations
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in confined spaces
- Clean driving record and reliable transportation
- Experience with PLC systems and smart home technology (preferred)
