Responsibilities
- Assist in site preparation, including material handling and debris removal
- Operate hand/power tools safely and efficiently
- Follow construction plans and supervisor instructions precisely
- Maintain a clean and organized work area per OSHA standards
- Support carpenters, masons, and other trades as needed
- Report equipment malfunctions and safety hazards promptly
- Adhere to strict safety protocols at all times
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months construction/labor experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Valid California Driver's License required
- OSHA 10-Hour Certification a plus
- Reliable transportation to job sites in Oakland
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Ability to work in various weather conditions
- Must pass pre-employment background check
