Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair residential/commercial plumbing systems (pipes, fixtures, water heaters)
- Install new plumbing systems according to Illinois building codes
- Perform emergency repairs during off-hours (rotating schedule)
- Conduct system inspections and preventative maintenance
- Estimate project costs and maintain accurate job records
- Mentor junior plumbers and ensure safety compliance
- Coordinate with contractors and property managers
Qualifications
- 5+ years of plumbing experience required
- Valid Illinois plumbing license (journeyman/master)
- OSHA 10 certification preferred
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read blueprints and technical schematics
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Clean driving record and reliable transportation
- Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in confined spaces
