Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, marking boundaries, and setting up temporary fencing.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and organize construction materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently.
- General Labor: Perform a variety of manual tasks including digging, carrying, and lifting heavy objects as directed by the foreman.
- Equipment Operation: Operate basic construction equipment and power tools under supervision (e.g., jackhammers, saws, generators).
- Quality Control: Help maintain clean and safe job sites by following all safety protocols and cleanup procedures.
- Assistance: Support skilled tradespeople (electricians, plumbers, carpenters) with various on-site tasks.
Qualifications
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
- Physical Stamina: Must be physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Experience: Previous experience in construction, landscaping, or general labor is preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
- Tools: Own or be willing to purchase basic personal safety gear (steel-toed boots, safety glasses, work gloves).
- Communication: Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
- Valid ID: Must possess a valid Social Security card and government-issued ID for tax purposes.
