Responsibilities
- Execute construction tasks including concrete pouring, framing, demolition, and material handling
- Operate power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) and heavy equipment safely
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean job sites
- Assist skilled tradesmen (carpenters, masons, electricians) with project requirements
- Read blueprints and technical specifications for accurate implementation
- Perform site preparation and cleanup activities between shifts
- Document daily progress and material usage for project managers
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years construction labor experience in commercial/residential settings
- Valid O-10 construction certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- OSHA 10-hour construction safety certification required
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Reliable transportation to job sites across DC metropolitan area
- Basic blueprint reading and measurement skills
- Flexibility to work weekends and occasional overtime
- Pass background check and drug screening
