Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in the preparation and cleanup of job sites, ensuring a safe and organized work environment.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials using hand trucks, forklifts, or heavy machinery.
- Construction Support: Perform basic tasks such as digging, cutting, and shaping materials, and assisting skilled tradesmen with framing, drywall, or concrete work.
- Equipment Operation: Operate power tools and handheld equipment safely and effectively under supervision.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations, wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), and report hazards immediately.
- Quality Control: Help maintain high standards of workmanship on all projects.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical labor for 8+ hours a day, including lifting up to 50 lbs and working in various weather conditions.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and occasional holidays.
- Experience: Previous construction experience is preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
- Tools: Basic understanding of hand tools and construction terminology is a plus.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
- Reliability: Strong work ethic, punctuality, and the ability to work well in a team.
