Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, masons) with various on-site construction tasks and material preparation.
- Load, unload, and organize building materials, tools, and equipment from delivery trucks and storage areas.
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up scaffolding or temporary structures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site in strict compliance with OSHA safety regulations.
- Operate basic construction machinery and hand tools under the supervision of foremen.
- Perform general cleanup duties, including sweeping floors and removing waste to ensure a professional environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred; trade school background is a plus.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy loads (up to 75 lbs) and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Valid New York State Driver's License and reliable transportation to the job site.
- Ability to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a rotating schedule.
- Basic math skills for measuring, cutting, and calculating material needs.
- Willingness to learn safety protocols and follow instructions from supervisors.
