The Role:
As a Weekend Electrician, you will be responsible for performing essential maintenance, repairs, and installations that keep our operations running smoothly. You will work closely with our project managers to deliver high-quality electrical solutions.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs on electrical systems, motors, and control panels.
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain lighting systems, switchgear, and transformers.
- Ensure all work complies with OSHA regulations and local Chicago building codes.
- Diagnose complex electrical faults and provide effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Conduct safety inspections and document all work completed during weekend shifts.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman Electrician License (Illinois required).
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in commercial and industrial electrical work.
- Proven ability to work weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday).
- Strong knowledge of electrical schematics, blueprints, and NEC codes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions.
