Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and residential properties
- Interpret blueprints and technical specifications to ensure code-compliant installations
- Diagnose electrical faults using advanced testing equipment and troubleshooting techniques
- Lead weekend project teams to deliver high-voltage systems and energy-efficient solutions
- Conduct safety inspections and implement OSHA-compliant protocols
- Coordinate with project managers and clients to ensure timely project completion
- Maintain detailed documentation of electrical systems and maintenance activities
Qualifications
- Valid Illinois electrician license (Journeyman or Master)
- Minimum 5 years of commercial/residential electrical experience
- Proven expertise with high-voltage systems and energy-efficient installations
- OSHA 30-hour certification and NFPA 70E knowledge
- Strong diagnostic skills for complex electrical troubleshooting
- Ability to work independently in high-pressure weekend environments
- Excellent communication and client management abilities
- Physical capability for lifting 50+ lbs and working in confined spaces
