Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair complex electrical faults in residential and commercial buildings with a focus on weekend maintenance.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot lighting systems, panel upgrades, and power distribution equipment.
- Ensure strict adherence to local Chicago building codes and OSHA safety regulations.
- Perform routine inspections to identify potential hazards and prevent electrical fires.
- Collaborate with the on-call team to handle emergency service calls and urgent repairs.
- Document all work performed accurately in digital and manual logs.
Qualifications
- Certified Journeyman Electrician license in the State of Illinois.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial and residential electrical work.
- Strong knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code) and local Chicago ordinances.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, with a positive attitude.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Physically capable of climbing ladders, lifting 50+ lbs, and working in confined spaces.
- Proficiency with modern diagnostic testing equipment.
