Responsibilities
- Diagnose and Repair: Identify and resolve complex plumbing issues, including leaks, blockages, and pipe failures, ensuring minimal disruption to the client.
- System Installation: Perform the installation and maintenance of commercial and residential piping systems, water heaters, and drainage units.
- Code Compliance: Ensure all work meets local building codes and safety regulations set forth by the City of Boston and state standards.
- Emergency Response: Be on-call for urgent weekend repairs, providing rapid and effective solutions to critical system failures.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients, explaining technical issues clearly and providing transparent cost estimates.
- Tools & Equipment: Maintain and inspect company vehicles and tool sets to ensure readiness for weekend shifts.
Qualifications
- Licensing: Valid Master or Journeyman Plumber license required (Massachusetts specific).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in commercial and residential plumbing.
- Schedule: Must be available to work full-time weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday).
- Driver’s License: Valid, clean driving record and a personal vehicle for travel to job sites.
- Skills: Proficiency in reading blueprints, welding, soldering, and using diagnostic equipment.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy objects, work in confined spaces, and stand for extended periods.
