Responsibilities
- Perform physical labor tasks including excavation, demolition, material handling, and site cleanup
- Operate hand/power tools safely and effectively under supervisor guidance
- Read and interpret basic construction plans and blueprints
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, masons, electricians) with project requirements
- Maintain clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant job sites
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and wear required PPE
- Transport materials using equipment like wheelbarrows, dollies, and forklifts
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of construction or heavy labor experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in outdoor conditions
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- OSHA 10 certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Strong work ethic and punctuality with daily attendance
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions precisely
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
