Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and residential properties
- Interpret blueprints and technical schematics to ensure code-compliant installations
- Diagnose electrical faults using advanced testing equipment and troubleshooting techniques
- Coordinate with project managers and contractors to meet construction deadlines
- Conduct safety inspections and implement OSHA-compliant protocols
- Manage inventory and procurement of electrical materials and components
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed and system configurations
Qualifications
- Valid journeyman or master electrician license for the District of Columbia
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on electrical installation and maintenance experience
- Proven expertise with NEC code requirements and local DC regulations
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings and construction schematics
- Strong diagnostic skills for complex electrical systems troubleshooting
- OSHA 10-hour certification or equivalent safety training
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
