Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance in residential and commercial buildings.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to determine layouts and wiring sequences.
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes (NEC).
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
- Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, oscilloscopes, and ammeters.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman Electrician License in the state of Illinois.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in commercial and residential electrical work.
- Strong knowledge of electrical theory, wiring techniques, and safety protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
- Professional demeanor and the ability to work well within a team.
