Responsibilities
- Lead strategic foresight initiatives identifying disruptive technologies and market opportunities through 2026
- Architect and execute 'Future Roadmaps' integrating AI, quantum computing, and synthetic biology innovations
- Chair cross-functional 'Horizon Scanning' workshops with engineering, design, and product teams
- Develop patentable frameworks for human-AI collaboration and ethical innovation governance
- Present executive-level trend briefings to board members and investors quarterly
- Manage $5M annual innovation budget for prototype development and ecosystem partnerships
- Author industry thought leadership on exponential tech adoption and future-proofing strategies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in innovation strategy, R&D leadership, or futurist consulting
- Deep expertise in at least two exponential tech domains (AI/ML, quantum, synthetic biology, neurotech)
- Proven track record of launching 3+ industry-disrupting products or services
- Certification in strategic foresight (e.g., WFS, APF) or advanced degree in Futures Studies
- Exceptional systems thinking with ability to model complex socio-technical ecosystems
- Published thought leadership in Harvard Business Review, MIT Tech Review, or equivalent
- Experience scaling innovation labs from concept to commercialization (>$50M impact)
- Fluency in scenario planning methodologies and exponential technology forecasting
