Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the 2026+ innovation roadmap, identifying disruptive technologies and market opportunities
- Lead strategic initiatives in quantum computing, AI governance, and sustainable energy systems
- Partner with R&D teams to prototype and validate breakthrough concepts (minimum 3/year)
- Present future scenarios to C-suite and board members, driving data-backed strategic decisions
- Build and lead a cross-disciplinary innovation lab with $5M+ annual budget
- Monitor global tech policy and geopolitical shifts affecting 2026+ innovation landscapes
- Publish thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals and industry forums
Qualifications
- 15+ years in innovation strategy, R&D leadership, or futurist consulting
- Proven track record of launching technologies with $100M+ market impact
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, AI ethics, climate tech, or neurotech
- PhD or equivalent in Physics, Computer Science, or Futures Studies preferred
- Experience with scenario planning and trend analysis (e.g., Delphi method)
- Strong network among global research institutions (MIT, CERN, etc.)
- Presentation skills for executive audiences and media engagements
- Portfolio demonstrating 5+ innovations with real-world implementation
