Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning initiatives to identify and analyze emerging technologies, market shifts, and socio-economic trends relevant to 2026+ landscapes
- Develop and present strategic foresight frameworks to executive leadership and board stakeholders
- Design scenario-planning models to assess potential futures and their organizational implications
- Collaborate with R&D teams to align innovation pipelines with long-term strategic objectives
- Author thought leadership publications and presentations at industry conferences
- Establish and maintain partnerships with academic institutions and innovation hubs
- Mentor cross-functional teams in future-thinking methodologies
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Technology Forecasting, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Minimum 7 years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or futurist research
- Proven expertise in trend analysis, scenario planning, and systemic thinking methodologies
- Deep understanding of emerging technologies: AI, quantum computing, biotech, and sustainable systems
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to translate complex concepts for diverse audiences
- Published thought leadership in futurist or strategic journals
- Proficiency in foresight tools (e.g., Delphi method, horizon scanning, causal layered analysis)
- Portfolio demonstrating successful strategic foresight projects
