Responsibilities
- Develop 5-10 year technology roadmaps aligned with market disruption forecasts
- Lead speculative R&D initiatives in quantum AI, neural interfaces, and sustainable computing
- Present trend briefings to C-suite and board members with data-driven impact projections
- Manage a $2M annual innovation budget for prototyping 2026-viable technologies
- Partner with academic institutions to publish forward-looking research in IEEE and Nature
- Mentor junior futurists in scenario planning and horizon scanning methodologies
- Represent company at Davos, CES, and World Economic Forum tech summits
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic tech planning with 5+ years in future-focused roles
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or Futurism
- Published research in emerging technologies (AI, biotech, quantum computing)
- Experience with Delphi methods and scenario planning frameworks
- Portfolio demonstrating technology forecasting accuracy (85%+ success rate)
- Expertise in ethical tech governance frameworks (EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF)
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, D3.js) and trend analysis software
