Responsibilities
- Assist Journeymen: Support senior electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential and commercial settings.
- Site Safety: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
- Wiring & Installation: Learn to pull wire, install conduits, terminate circuits, and mount electrical panels and fixtures.
- Code Compliance: Study and apply the National Electrical Code (NEC) to ensure all work meets local and national standards.
- Troubleshooting: Develop diagnostic skills to identify and resolve electrical faults under supervision.
- Inventory Management: Assist in the organization of tools, materials, and equipment on the job site.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients and property managers to explain work progress.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED is required.
- Experience: No prior experience is necessary; we are looking for eager learners.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and clean driving record are required (travel to Florida jobs is part of the role).
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work in various weather conditions, and stand for extended periods.
- Basic Math: Proficiency in basic arithmetic for calculating material needs and measurements.
- Availability: Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and night shifts as required by project schedules.
- Tools: Basic hand tools are a plus but not mandatory; we provide the rest.
