Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial electrical systems.
- Prepare job sites by gathering tools, materials, and equipment as directed.
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Perform basic electrical tasks such as pulling wire, stripping insulation, and terminating connections.
- Ensure all work complies with local and national electrical codes and safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with the team and clients regarding project status.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
- Basic math skills (fractions, measurements) are essential.
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, and lift heavy objects for extended periods.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions (heat, rain, etc.) and at heights (when applicable).
- Strong desire to learn and a commitment to safety.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
