Responsibilities
- Assist Journeyman Electricians: Support senior technicians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential and commercial settings.
- Blueprint Reading: Learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to understand wiring layouts.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety standards and company protocols to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Equipment Maintenance: Properly handle, test, and organize electrical tools, meters, and testing equipment.
- Site Preparation: Prepare job sites by laying out wires, fixtures, and equipment according to project plans.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients, providing updates on project progress and maintaining a clean workspace.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Driver's License: A valid California Driver’s License and a clean driving record are mandatory for field work.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn new technical skills.
- Background: No prior electrical experience is required; we look for candidates with a strong work ethic and mechanical aptitude.
