As an Apprentice Electrician, you will work under the supervision of certified Journeymen to gain hands-on experience in residential and commercial electrical installations and repairs. This is a fantastic opportunity to enter a recession-proof industry with excellent earning potential.
Responsibilities
- Assist Journeymen: Support senior electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential and commercial buildings.
- Tool Preparation: Maintain and organize tools, including drills, saws, and testers, ensuring they are clean and ready for use.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and your team.
- Material Handling: Help with the delivery, unloading, and organization of electrical materials and supplies at job sites.
- Basic Wiring: Learn to pull wire, terminate circuits, and assist with fixture installations (lights, outlets, switches).
- Site Maintenance: Keep job sites clean, tidy, and free of debris after daily operations.
Qualifications
- No Experience Required: We are looking for candidates with a strong desire to learn and a willingness to work hard.
- Education: High school diploma or GED is preferred but not strictly required.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions.
- Driver’s License: A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are necessary for travel to job sites.
- Basic Math Skills: Comfort with basic arithmetic is helpful for reading blueprints and measuring materials.
- Team Player: Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow instructions are essential.
