Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
- Learn to read, interpret, and utilize blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to complete projects accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in strict compliance with OSHA and company safety protocols.
- Perform routine inspections of electrical components and equipment to identify potential hazards or inefficiencies.
- Use hand and power tools, as well as testing equipment, to troubleshoot and repair electrical issues.
- Transport materials and tools to and from job sites efficiently.
- Document work completed and report any safety concerns to the supervisor immediately.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable personal transportation.
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, fractions) for measuring materials and calculating loads.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Physically capable of standing for long periods, climbing ladders, and working in various weather conditions.
- No prior experience required; however, a strong interest in construction or engineering is a plus.
