Responsibilities
- Assist skilled carpenters with residential construction projects
- Learn to safely operate hand tools and power equipment
- Measure, cut, and assemble wood materials under supervision
- Prepare job sites and maintain clean, organized work areas
- Follow safety protocols at all times
- Participate in on-the-job training sessions
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently
Qualifications
- Must be 16-19 years old (high school students encouraged)
- Valid driver's license preferred (not required)
- Ability to stand, lift 25 lbs, and work outdoors in various weather
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Indianapolis
- Positive attitude and eagerness to learn new skills
- Must pass basic background check
- Parental consent required for applicants under 18
