Responsibilities
- Assist in framing, finishing, and restoration of residential/commercial properties
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Safely operate hand and power tools under supervision
- Prepare job sites and maintain organized workspaces
- Learn sustainable building practices and local material sourcing
- Participate in community service projects (e.g., rebuilding playgrounds)
- Document progress through photo journals and skill logs
Qualifications
- Must be 16-18 years old (valid work permit required)
- High school student or recent graduate
- Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to lift 40 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Reliable transportation to French Quarter/Mid-City locations
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Willingness to work weekends and summer hours
- Pass background check and drug screening
