Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradesmen (carpenters, masons, electricians) with construction tasks
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment safely
- Prepare and clean job sites daily
- Operate hand/power tools and machinery per safety protocols
- Read and interpret basic blueprints and instructions
- Follow OSHA safety guidelines at all times
- Perform general site maintenance and cleanup
- Report hazards or equipment malfunctions immediately
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid driver's license (required)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly
- Willingness to work in outdoor conditions (heat/cold/rain)
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Indianapolis
- Pass pre-employment background/drug screening
- 1+ year construction experience preferred but not required
