Responsibilities
- Execute site preparation tasks including excavation, trenching, and debris removal
- Operate hand tools (shovels, hammers, saws) and power equipment safely
- Load/unload materials and equipment with proper lifting techniques
- Assist skilled tradespeople with layout, framing, and finishing work
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean job sites
- Read blueprints and follow written instructions from supervisors
- Participate in emergency response procedures and weather-related adaptations
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction labor experience or trade school certification
- Valid O-10 Construction Worker certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic math skills for material calculations and measurements
- Reliable transportation with valid driver's license
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and incident prevention
- Ability to work collaboratively in diverse teams
