Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and leveling grounds.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and distribute construction materials, tools, and equipment as directed by the foreman.
- Mixing & Pouring: Mix concrete, mortar, and other materials according to project blueprints and specifications.
- Equipment Support: Operate hand tools (hammers, saws, levels) and power tools under supervision to complete tasks.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and understand basic blueprints, diagrams, and technical drawings to execute tasks accurately.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized job site, including waste removal and site housekeeping.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience as a construction laborer or general laborer in the Skilled Trades is preferred but not required.
- Physical Stamina: Must be able to perform manual labor for long periods, including lifting heavy loads (up to 50 lbs) and standing on uneven terrain.
- Tools: Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment is a plus.
- Driver's License: Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation to the job site.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with foremen and team members.
- OSHA 10: OSHA 10-hour General Construction safety certification is highly desirable.
