Responsibilities
- Execute physical construction tasks including excavation, demolition, material handling, and site preparation
- Operate heavy machinery safely (bobcats, forklifts, etc.) with proper certifications
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean, organized work sites
- Assist skilled tradesmen (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) with material prep and installation
- Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate project execution
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and daily site inspections
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on construction or heavy labor experience
- Valid OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain immediately)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Reliable transportation and punctuality for early morning site arrivals
- Valid driver's license with clean record (required for equipment operation)
- Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions
- Strong teamwork ethic and willingness to follow supervisor directives
