Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradesmen with construction tasks including site preparation, material handling, and cleanup
- Operate hand tools and light machinery (e.g., saws, drills, jackhammers) safely and efficiently
- Follow blueprints and instructions from supervisors to ensure project accuracy
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment at all times
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and OSHA regulations
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment at job sites
- Perform physical tasks in various weather conditions (heat, humidity, occasional rain)
Qualifications
- Previous construction or labor experience preferred but not required
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Basic understanding of construction terminology and safety practices
- Punctuality and consistent attendance are mandatory
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions precisely
- Comfortable working in outdoor environments and on scaffolds/heights
