Responsibilities
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, setting up barricades, and ensuring safety protocols
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment using manual and mechanical methods
- Operate hand/power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) under supervision
- Assist skilled tradesmen with concrete work, framing, and finishing tasks
- Maintain clean and organized work areas while adhering to OSHA standards
- Read and interpret basic construction plans and blueprints
- Report equipment malfunctions and safety hazards immediately
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction experience or equivalent vocational training
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in physically demanding conditions
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Basic knowledge of construction materials and tools
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively in diverse teams
- Pre-employment drug screening required
