Responsibilities
- Execute precise excavation, demolition, and earthmoving tasks using heavy machinery
- Assist carpenters and masons with material preparation and site setup
- Operate power tools and equipment safely per OSHA standards
- Maintain clean, organized job sites with daily debris removal
- Read blueprints and follow supervisor instructions for project accuracy
- Conduct quality checks on completed work sections
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and PPE requirements
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years commercial construction experience required
- Valid OSHA 30 certification preferred
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds repeatedly throughout shifts
- Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Class B CDL license with clean driving record (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Proficiency with hand tools and power equipment
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Virginia Beach
- Flexible availability for early morning shifts (5:00 AM start)
