Responsibilities
- Safety First: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Site Preparation: Assist in the setup and preparation of construction sites, including clearing debris, digging trenches, and mixing concrete.
- Material Handling: Transport, unload, and organize construction materials, tools, and equipment efficiently.
- Skilled Trade Support: Provide hands-on assistance to journeyman and apprentices in carpentry, framing, masonry, and roofing tasks.
- Quality Control: Perform routine inspections of work areas to ensure high-quality standards are met before the next phase begins.
- Cleaning: Maintain a clean and organized job site at the end of each shift.
Qualifications
- Experience: Prior experience in general construction labor is preferred but not required; we provide on-the-job training.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Tools: Familiarity with hand and power tools is a plus.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and clean driving record are required.
- Communication: Ability to read and understand basic blueprints and communicate effectively with foremen and team members.
