Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) with daily tasks on-site.
- Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment safely.
- Prepare work areas by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up scaffolding.
- Operate power tools and machinery such as forklifts, jackhammers, and saws under supervision.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site in compliance with OSHA safety regulations.
- Follow blueprints and instructions provided by foremen and project managers.
Qualifications
- Previous construction experience is preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
- Basic understanding of construction safety protocols (OSHA standards).
- Good communication skills and a willingness to work as part of a team.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
