Responsibilities
- Perform heavy manual labor tasks including digging, lifting, and carrying materials.
- Assist skilled tradespeople (electricians, plumbers, carpenters) with on-site installation.
- Operate and maintain basic construction equipment and tools safely.
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris and ensuring a safe work environment.
- Follow all OSHA safety guidelines and site-specific protocols.
- Load and unload materials from trucks using forklifts or pallet jacks.
Qualifications
- Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Valid Driver's License (Class C) is preferred.
- Experience in construction or general labor is a plus but not required (on-the-job training provided).
- Reliable transportation to and from the Chicago work site.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills in the Skilled Trades.
