Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Prepare job sites by clearing debris, laying out materials, and ensuring the work area is safe and organized.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and distribute construction materials, tools, and equipment as needed by the crew.
- Trade Assistance: Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) with daily tasks, including measuring, cutting, and holding materials.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a hazard-free environment.
- Equipment Operation: Operate basic construction equipment and hand tools safely and correctly under supervision.
- Site Cleanup: Maintain cleanliness of the work area and perform daily cleanup duties to ensure efficiency.
Qualifications
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly and stand for extended periods on various surfaces.
- Work Ethic: Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn new skills.
- Communication: Basic ability to communicate clearly with supervisors and team members.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Availability: Must be available to work full-time hours, including occasional weekends or overtime.
