Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and distribute construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites.
- Site Preparation: Assist in site preparation, including excavation, leveling, and clearing debris.
- Equipment Operation: Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively under supervision.
- Support Trades: Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) with various tasks as needed.
- Site Maintenance: Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards in compliance with OSHA safety standards.
- Documentation: Help with basic site measurements and record-keeping.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in construction or general labor is preferred but not required for the right candidate.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Driver's License: Valid Driver's License and clean driving record are required.
- Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and a strong team player.
- Communication: Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
- Tools: Own basic safety gear (steel-toed boots, hard hat) is a plus.
