Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites efficiently.
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by cleaning debris, digging trenches, and setting up temporary structures.
- Tool Operation: Operate basic construction tools and machinery under supervision to aid in various construction tasks.
- Assistance: Support skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) by performing necessary tasks to ensure project milestones are met.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to maintain a safe work environment for everyone.
- Site Cleanup: Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and materials are stored properly after use.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical labor for long periods, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and standing on uneven surfaces.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and willing to work full-time hours, including weekends or overtime as needed.
- Communication: Basic ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors.
- Driver's License: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are preferred but not always required.
- Attitude: A positive attitude and a strong desire to learn new skills in the construction industry.
