Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and stack building materials, tools, and supplies using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks.
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by digging trenches, clearing debris, and leveling ground.
- Tool Operation: Operate a variety of hand and power tools under supervision to complete tasks efficiently.
- Equipment Maintenance: Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards to ensure a safe environment.
- Assistance: Support skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, etc.) by providing necessary labor and materials.
- Quality Control: Perform basic inspections of materials and work areas to ensure adherence to blueprints and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Driver's License: Valid driver’s license is preferred but not strictly required.
- Education: High school diploma or GED is a plus, but a strong work ethic is more important.
- Communication: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and willing to work full-time hours.
- Background: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
