Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up temporary structures.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport building materials, tools, and equipment to and from the job site.
- General Labor: Perform general cleanup duties, including sweeping, shoveling, and maintaining a safe work area.
- Assist Tradespeople: Support carpenters, electricians, and plumbers by providing necessary tools and materials and performing basic tasks under supervision.
- Measurement: Help measure and cut materials according to blueprints or supervisor instructions.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and site-specific safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred; a strong willingness to learn is essential.
- Experience: No prior construction experience required; entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Valid License: Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and able to work as part of a team.
- Communication: Basic ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
