Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and prepare construction materials and equipment for use at job sites.
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, etc.) with various tasks as directed.
- Operate basic construction tools and machinery (safety training provided).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by adhering to OSHA standards.
- Perform manual labor tasks including digging, lifting, and hauling materials.
- Read and interpret basic blueprints and safety plans when available.
- Perform minor site cleanup and waste removal.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Physically capable of performing manual labor, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and working in various weather conditions.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation (mileage reimbursement available).
- Basic knowledge of construction safety practices is a plus but not required.
- Willingness to work overtime and travel to various job sites within the Columbus, GA area.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
